Please leave your pets at home...

We love animals in all shapes and sizes, that is why we do what we do.
BUT, we do not allow you to bring your own animals to our farm for the safety of them, other folks and our animals, please leave all pets at home.
In the heat of summer, the interior of a vehicle can be dangerous to pets - please plan accordingly when visiting our farm that your own pet isn't being left in a hot car.  Again, please leave all pets at home for their safety.
Thank you.

Why can't I bring food or drink into the zoo area?

As an operating petting zoo, we have to follow State of Maine guidelines for the safety of our patrons.  One of  the main rules is that no patrons will bring food or drink into the animal habitat areas.  This includes bottles, sippy cups as well as snacks for children.
We have a picnic area located outside of the habitat area that patrons can use at no additional fee.
For everyone's safety - we offer a hand washing station, hand sanitizer stations located throughout the zoo, an animal free picnic area, a Porta-potty, and many posters and signs giving instruction on how to stay safe around farm animals.
Please follow all guidelines as they are for your safety.
By entering our farm and zoo you and your party enter at your own risk.

Burrows Farm and Covid 19

What has become the norm for any business or gathering - Please social distance -
Please wear a mask if you feel more comfortable in a public environment
Please wash your hands
If you or any of your party have or are showing symptoms of Covid 19,
please for the sake of ourselves, our animals and other patrons, stay home.

Please do not bring your own food to our animals

Our animals are our family.  Each one is catered to his or her best needs which includes what type of treat or food they eat every day.  We see to and manage all of their needs.  By offering foods to them that they are not used to, or with ingredients added into the food that could be dangerous or even deadly to some animals, we can not permit anyone to bring in their own treats to our farm.

We do offer a variety of treats options at our entrance gate as well as coin operated gumball machines that have the correct treats in them for the animals.  The gum ball machines take quarters - so make sure you check your change before you come!
